I was so excited to receive an ARC of A Shadow of the Ember and read more from Jennifer especially in the From Blood and Ash world

I love Seraphina and Ash’s story and how they found each other as well as interacting throughout the story. Ash is a character and I loved how he holds himself throughout.

I love learning more of the world especially from a different time from the Blood and Ash series.

The world is as big as the Blood and Ash series with similar locations but also different at the same time.

Being able to meet the drakens that we were introduced in The Crown and Gilded Bones was fantastic along with how Sera interacts with them.

The twists towards the end of the book were interesting and the ending made me want to reread From Blood and Ash again.

I can’t wait to see where the Flesh and Fire series goes.
