The Wrong Game by Kandi Steiner

Two Season tickets. One genius idea. Zero interest in a relationship. The plan is simple: a brand new, hot, preferably funny, definitely single male will fill one of those seats for ever Bears game at Soldier Field. And I’ll fill the other. I can’t think of a better way to use the season passes I’d bought for my ex-husband. I am a woman of plans and this one’s foolproof. Until Zach Bowen offers to be my practice round. He’s infuriating. Presumptuous and overbearing. And absolutely, undeniably gorgeous. Any woman with a heartbeat would be attracted to him, and mine picks up speed every time he speaks. But as I said, I am a woman of plans – and I’m not backing down on this one. One night. One game. And then he’s time is up. He can try change the rules, but here’s the truth: he can’t win if he’s playing the wrong game.

I saw this book all over TikTok and I finally decided to give it a go. The Wrong Game is the first sports romance that I have ever read and I really enjoyed it.

The Wrong Game is a duel POV story that changes between Gemma and Zach. Gemma is a widow, who lost her husband to cancer but was also in the process of divorcing him as he was cheating on her. She is trying to get out there again but doesn’t want a relationship. Gemma is an interesting woman who would be like anyone after finding her husband cheating but 10 times stronger with not being able to stand up for herself due to him dying. I like how we were introduced to the characters, especially Zach. Zach is a bartender at a local bar and Gemma immediately caught his eye. The relationship and interactions was very cute and I loved how patient Zach was with Gemma.

Absolutely adored the ending and I will be reading other books by Steiner.
